佐渡歴史伝説館 (Sado History and Traditional Museum) The Sado History and Traditional Museum in Sado, Niigata is a small museum about local legends, with displays from the craft master Sasaki Shodo. Former US soldier Charles Jenkins stays here as the caretaker of the museum’s souvenir shop and he is famous for the dozens of photographs he took with Japanese celebrities found all over the museum, and some tourists actually pose and take their pictures with him.
