熱海, 静岡県 (Atami, Shizuoka)
Atami, Shizuoka is a city in the prefecture considered as a coastal hot spring resort, with its name translated as “hot ocean”. It has been a popular hot spring resort since the 8th century and is ranked as one of Japan’s Three Great Hot Springs. The coastline is heavily developed and covered with concrete hotels, but during the summer, the sandy beach is particularly popular.
